About this course

UCT APS min 420 (Band C). Guaranteed admission: APS 500+. Mathematics 80%. Physical Sciences 75%. NBT written but not used for EBE admission. Mechanical Engineering: fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, solid mechanics, design, manufacturing. Mechanical & Mechatronic Engineering: adds embedded systems, robotics, and industrial automation. Both programmes are ECSA-accredited.

Note: Pure Mathematics is required (Mathematical Literacy is not accepted).

UCT APS = English% + best 5 other subjects% (excl. Life Orientation), max 600. Commerce, Engineering, Humanities and Law: FPS = APS. Science FPS doubles Mathematics and Physical Sciences (max 800). Health Sciences FPS adds NBT score (max 900). Min APS values shown are Band C (minimum consideration)
